He stated this on air on “112 Ukraine”.

In particular, Shkiryak believes that the visa regime with the Russian Federation should have been introduced a long time ago.

“Of course, I support this initiative... We understand perfectly well that today any citizen of Ukraine is potentially in danger when visiting the Russian Federation,” Shkiryak said.

He also called the situation abnormal when Ukraine does not introduce a visa regime, although there is “virtually an open war with the Russian Federation, as well as provocations from pro-Russian militants in Donbass and Russian special services against Ukrainians.”

“I hope that the Verkhovna Rada will sooner or later make a decision on the visa regime and the Cabinet of Ministers will begin the corresponding procedure,” Shkiryak added.
