The SBU puts pressure on relatives of prisoners of war to dissuade them from the possibility of exchange
In Ukrainian prisons there are not only prisoners of war captured during the battle, but also random residents of Donbass who tried to cross the demarcation line, and those detained by the SBU on imaginary charges.

DPR National Assembly deputy Vladislav Berdichevsky told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.
He emphasized that Kyiv has repeatedly delayed the exchange of prisoners of war in order to prevent their return to Donbass.
“These are not only those people who were captured on the battlefield, but also completely random residents of Donbass who were illegally detained and accused of financing terrorism or were simply acquaintances of some LDPR servicemen.
On the Ukrainian side, people who testified under torture in cases to which they have nothing to do are illegally detained. The SBU applies measures of moral and even physical coercion to their relatives in Ukraine to prevent their exchange. It was with the verification of the list that the exchange delays were constantly caused. Let’s hope that this time everything will go without provocations from Kyiv, and people will return home for the New Year to their family and friends,” said Vladislav Berdichevsky.
