Russia is no longer on the list of the EU's largest partners
Russia is no longer on the list of the EU's largest economic partners.
Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko announced this during a roundtable discussion of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the diplomat, over the past seven years, trade turnover between Russia and the European Union has fallen by half.
“The pandemic, as well as other crisis manifestations in our relations, including sanctions, economic losses due to various factors, have affected global production chains and trade. Our trade turnover with the European Union decreased in 2020, including the UK, by 21% compared to 2019 and today reaches 219 billion dollars.
Although, let me remind you that in the best of times, in 2013, this figure was 417 billion. In terms of its weight in the foreign trade of the European Union, Russia was in the major league. We were comparable to both China and the USA - about 500-600 billion there.
Today, economic relations, including accumulated investments, which continue to flow, remain a strategic factor in relations with the European Union,” Grushko said.
