Moscow - Kyiv, November 03 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) - The DPR and LPR should not expect recognition of the elections from Ukraine, but appeal to the International Court of Justice and be guided by the scenario for resolving the problem in Kosovo.

About this on the air of the talk show “Tolstoy. Sunday,” said Igor Morozov, a member of the Russian Federation Council Committee on International Affairs.

“When we talk about whether elections or a referendum are recognized or not, we must pay attention to the decisions that the Americans make through international organizations. In 2003, in order to legitimize the failed referendum in Kosovo, the UN International Court of Justice decided that the regions do not need permission from the central authorities. In this situation, when referendums were held in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, elections were held to recognize legitimate government bodies, why ask permission from Kyiv when we have a conflict there. This is a decision of the International Court of Justice,” Morozov noted.
