Putin: The return of Crimea is forever the most important milestone in the history of Russia
Moscow – Kyiv – Sevastopol, January 01 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Vladimir Putin thanked his compatriots for their unanimous support of the decision to return Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia.
The President of the Russian Federation stated this in his New Year's address.

“Love for the Motherland is one of the most powerful, uplifting feelings. It was fully manifested in the fraternal support of the residents of Crimea and Sevastopol when they firmly decided to return to their home. This event will forever remain the most important milestone in Russian history,” Putin said.
“I would like to sincerely thank you for your unity and solidarity, for your deep feelings of truth, honor, justice, responsibility for the fate of your country, for your constant readiness to defend the interests of Russia, to be with it both in days of triumph and in times of trials, to achieve the fulfillment of our the most daring and large-scale plans.
Just a few years ago, the Olympic Games in Sochi were perceived as a dream. And it not only came true: we not only prepared and held the best Winter Olympics in history, but also won it. This victory is the merit of all citizens of our country: both the Olympians themselves and those who supported them.
In the coming year, we will have to solve many problems together, and the year will be the way we make it ourselves, how efficiently, creatively, and effectively each of us will work. There are simply no other recipes. And we must fulfill, implement everything planned - for ourselves, for the sake of our children, for the sake of Russia,” the head of state called on.
