Pushilin visited the wounded defenders of Donbass
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, visited the Republican Trauma Center and talked with military personnel who were seriously injured during the defense of Donbass.

Three DPR defenders were admitted to a medical facility almost simultaneously. The stories of two of them are an example of true military valor and honor. One serviceman, while evacuating his wounded colleague, was blown up by an enemy mine, and the second was seriously wounded as a result of shelling from Ukrainian armed formations while at observation positions.
In each case, doctors had to resort to amputation of limbs. One of the fighters, unfortunately, was unable to save both legs.
The Head of the Republic first of all inquired about the health of the military personnel and assured them that on all issues related to prosthetics, they could always turn to him for assistance.
“The most important thing is not to lose heart! In everything related to prosthetics and further rehabilitation, contact us, we will help! I promise that I will personally provide assistance on all issues,” said Pushilin.
In addition, the head of state noted that he considers the issues of social protection of military personnel and members of their families to be a priority. Currently, work is underway to amend a number of fundamental laws regulating this area.
Payment of pensions to military personnel is planned to begin this year. The state of affairs in the area related to the assignment of the status of a participant in hostilities is as follows. A list of armed formations has been compiled, participation in which gives a person grounds to apply for status.
The mechanism for considering applications is being worked out, sources of funding for the program and possible dates for the start of its implementation are being determined.
In turn, the military personnel thanked Denis Pushilin for his attention and caring attitude to their problems, as well as to the common problems of all military personnel of the Republic.
