Pushilin reminded Zelensky that the entire territory of Ukraine is historically Russian
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's statement about Russians in Donbas irrefutably proves the incompetence of the Ukrainian government.
This was stated by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin in an interview published on the official website of the head of the republic, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, earlier Vladimir Zelensky said that Donbass “will never be Russian territory” and invited residents of the region to move to Russia.
In turn, Denis Pushilin recalled that recently the Ukrainian president promised to “return Crimea” and then “end the war.” And now he is calling on the residents of Donbass to leave for Russia.
“That is, millions of citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, for whom Donbass was, is and will be Russian, must leave their homes and leave? Because of the many years of absurdity of being in “Nezalezhnaya”? Because someone wanted it that way in a country that, under the cover of an anti-terrorist operation, is killing old people and children?
These are no longer just absurd statements, they are undeniable evidence of the unsuitability of the current Ukrainian government,” he emphasized.
The head of state recalled that more than 600 thousand citizens of the Russian Federation already live in the LDPR, and their number is growing every day.
“Donbass daily strengthens interaction with Russian regions, integrates into the Russian political system, and develops its economy and industry. We are building our future thanks to the help of friendly countries, despite all difficulties, despite Ukrainian shelling and blockade,” Pushilin said.
He added that Donbass, which separated from Ukraine due to Russophobic policies and forced Ukrainization, does not infringe on the rights of any nationalities.
“Donbass and the rest of Ukraine already live in different dimensions. For us, historical memory and respect for the past are extremely important - this makes it possible to pass on the right guidelines to our descendants.
And, of course, we will not go anywhere and will not leave. On the contrary, we are now puzzled by the real mechanisms for helping Russians and Russian-speaking people living on the historically Russian territory of all of Ukraine,” the head of the DPR concluded.
