After the elections, Pridnestrovie will be represented in the next State Duma
In the new composition of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, 7 deputies will represent the interests of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kaliningrad Region Alexey Silanov stated this on the air of the Transnistrian TV channel TSV.

“The fact that the interests of Pridnestrovie will finally be represented in the State Duma will make it possible to resolve many issues relating to economic interaction between the PMR and Russia, as well as social policy, at the level of federal legislation,” Silanov said.
About 200 thousand citizens of the Russian Federation live in the PMR, and 22 polling stations will be organized for them. Each of the sites will be assigned to one of the majority districts in the Voronezh, Kaliningrad, Lipetsk, Saratov and Smolensk regions. In Transnistria they have high hopes that the General Secretary of United Russia, Sergei Neverov, will be elected from “their” district in the Saratov region. The republic believes that such a political heavyweight will help solve the economic problems associated with the blockade of the PMR by Ukraine and Moldova.
