Kyiv, September 12 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko showered compliments on European officials for decisions on sanctions against Russia and support for Ukraine.

Poroshenko said this at the Yalta European Strategy forum, which is being held in Kyiv this year.

“The European Union has found an opportunity to demonstrate its unity and show solidarity with Ukraine - while they have many of their own problems. This is an indicator of how close Ukraine is to them. For every leader, for every European country that has its own internal political problems... They show that Ukraine is now their main priority,” said the Ukrainian president.

“Do you know how I felt when I stood at the NATO summit? I had never felt this way before. I am proud to be Ukrainian. And I myself feel like a full member of the European family. “I feel like I am a full member of the EU family,” he said.
