This was announced by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

“The President of Ukraine expressed condolences to the head of state in connection with the plane crash that occurred the day before. He spoke about his readiness to cooperate through the manufacturing plant in determining the causes of the plane crash,” TASS quotes Peskov.

The voice recorder of the An-148 that crashed in the Moscow region was seriously damaged. It even lacks the detail needed to extract information. The plane was built in Ukraine.

As Politnavigator reported, the Ukrainian publication Zerkalo Nedeli was the first to report the telephone conversation between Putin and Poroshenko, citing sources in the Ukrainian presidential administration. It was claimed that the conversation, initiated by Poroshenko, was "not brief" and concerned a prisoner exchange.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the plane crash on Twitter. Ukrainian followers responded by hurling insults and expressing joy at the deaths of the Russians.
