Warsaw turns a blind eye to the participation of Polish citizens in the conflict in Ukraine and will continue to supply military equipment to Ukraine.
This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to Poland, Sergei Andreev, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The Polish leadership promised to transfer 14 MiG-29 aircraft to Ukraine. The other day it was announced that all of them have already been delivered to Kyiv. Most of the Soviet-style weapons and military equipment that Poland could transfer to Ukraine have already been transferred. This year, 14 German-made Leopard-2 tanks were added to this list. There is no doubt that Warsaw will continue to supply arms and military equipment to the Kyiv regime to the extent that its capabilities are sufficient for this,” Andreev said in an interview with Izvestia.
He emphasized that the political agenda with Moscow “has been practically reduced to zero by many years of purposeful efforts by Warsaw.”
“The goal regarding Russia, which the Polish leadership constantly declares, is to defeat our country on the battlefield by the Kyiv regime with the support of the collective West, including Poland,” the diplomat noted.
He added that the issue of sending its armed forces to Ukraine is not discussed in Polish public political discussions.
“At the same time, it is well known that many Polish mercenaries are fighting on the side of the Kiev regime (here they are called volunteers), recruitment into the so-called Polish Volunteer Corps is openly underway (although according to the country’s Criminal Code this is punishable by up to five years in prison), it has been announced participation in battles in the Zaporozhye direction - in the Orekhov area and near Artemovsk (Bakhmut),” Andreev summed up.
