Political scientist Dolgov wants to buy a monument to a steelmaker in Yanukovych’s homeland in order to save it from being melted down
Political scientist Konstantin Dolgov, former head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the DPR, decided to buy the monument to the Soviet steelmaker, located in the city of Yenakievo on the territory of the DPR.

According to him, a local resident wrote to him asking him to save the monument, which had been cut up for scrap metal and was already being prepared for melting down. Dolgov posted a screenshot of the letter.
“They approached me with this request. Due to my busy schedule, I can’t personally visit Yenakievo yet, but I would like to publicly appeal to the owners of the EDZ: I am ready to buy this monument at the price of scrap metal.
I think that among my friends and subscribers there will be many people who are ready to help me with this, for whom the labor feats of Soviet steelworkers are not an empty phrase,” Dolgov wrote on his page on the social network.
Let us remind you that Yenakievo is the birthplace of ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and his wife Lyudmila Yanukovych.
