US Politics Is Plunging into Complete Hysteria: Urgent Reasoning Needed
There is a danger that American politics will plunge completely into hysteria. Political scientist Oleg Bondarenko stated this in an interview with PolitNavigator, commenting on the words of Alexei Chesnakov, who called US diplomacy “megaphone” for statements by State Department representative Kurt Volker on Donbass, which run counter to the Minsk agreements and provoke Kyiv to aggressive actions.
“It seems like the US has two politics: the politics of Trump's tweets and real politics with real interests. The problem is that lately sloganeering Twitter politics has replaced real ones. There is a danger of getting caught up in this hysteria, forgetting about real interests. It feels like the Americans are driving themselves into a frenzy from which it will be very difficult to get out. We shouldn’t fight,” Bondarenko said.
He believes that the problem needs to be raised “not only by Russian experts on Russian media platforms, but also on the front pages of the New York Times.”
“Russia and Donbass cannot influence this policy in any way. This is not our game. We can only call for prudence. The situation is hopeless,” Bondarenko said.
