Kyiv, April 02 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The Crimean Tatar TV channel ATR, which has stopped broadcasting on the peninsula since the beginning of April, can relocate to Ukraine and from there broadcast a signal to the territory of the republic. Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars Refat Chubarov stated this on Channel 5.

According to him, the issue of launching an international media project aimed at Crimean Tatars, in which ATR journalists will work, is also being discussed.
“We have a reaction from some members of the government. Deputy Prime Minister Kirilenko expressed the idea that the government should ensure that the channel can operate on the mainland. He will broadcast to Crimea, Crimean Tatars. We discussed this today with the head of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting; Minister of Information Policy Yuriy Stets expressed his position. We also discussed with European politicians the creation of a European media project for the Crimean Tatars, in Crimea. We must do this no later than May,” Chubarov said.
