Sad statistics of Elon Musk
The recent disaster of the American Zuma satellite has worsened the already high accident rates during rocket launches of Elon Musk's SpaceX company.

Viktor Murakhovsky, a member of the Expert Council of the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation, wrote about this in Izvestia , noting that statistics have been kept on all space launches carried out using launch vehicles since 1957.
“In these statistics there are two indicators for accident rates - “Accident rate by launch” and “Accident rate by launch mass.” The global average for them is 6,5% and 5,1%, respectively, of the total number of launches up to 2017 inclusive. These numbers are considered (tacitly) the “accident rate” in the space community.
The results vary across countries. For example, the USA has 8,4% of emergency launches, Russia - 5,4%, European Space Agency - 6,6%, China - 5,2%. For newcomers to the industry, this figure is much higher: Japan - 10,3%, India - 16%, Israel - 22,2%,” the author points out.
He clarifies that SpaceX has carried out 46 launch vehicles over the entire period of its existence, of which 10 were unsuccessful.
“The Zuma satellite that fell into the ocean worsened the accident rate of Elon Musk’s company to 21,74%. It’s somehow too much for a corporation that positions itself as a leader in the global space industry,” says Murakhovsky.
