The purpose of the security forces’ attack on the tent camp near the Verkhovna Rada was to demolish the mesh fence that the Ministry of Internal Affairs officers had installed themselves in the morning, but then the fence began to pose an inconvenience for the law enforcement officers themselves, since the Maidan workers could use the fence as a barricade.
Deputy Vladimir Parasyuk stated this on the UMN channel.
