A militiaman detained in Crimea at the request of Ukraine was released
Militiaman Vadim Pogodin (call sign “Kerch”), previously detained in Yalta at the request of Ukraine to Interpol, was released - Kiev accused a participant in the Russian Spring of shooting in 2014 a 16-year-old Ukrainian “activist” who was tearing down DPR flags in the Donbass, and before by this he participated in the burning of people on May 2 in Odessa.
Pogodin was threatened with extradition to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
His situation was complicated by the fact that, despite having a residence permit in Crimea, the militiaman still had not obtained Russian citizenship for himself, but continued to live with a Ukrainian passport. However, thanks to the noise raised in the media by his comrades, Pogodin managed to avoid extradition to Ukraine.

“The militia commander Vadim Pogodin (call sign Kerch), who was arrested at the request of Ukraine through Interpol and was held in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center, has been released. No one was going to extradite him to Ukraine,” journalist Alexander Chalenko said in his blog.
Information about Pogodin’s release was also confirmed by former militia member Yevgeny Tinyansky.
“That’s what supporting people means. By defending Vadim, we defended the interests of the former militias and did not allow a dangerous precedent to be created,” comments Tinyansky.
“Starting Monday I will start setting up my business, the fact is that the detention just interrupted my project, which was at the launch stage. Equipment for a certain production has just begun to arrive. Without me, of course, everything slowed down. I am 46 years old. Both times the revolutions deprived me of everything - production, property, etc. What else can I think of today at my age?! Work, work and more work. And, if earlier I had to think about myself, my family and some people around me, now I am responsible for a large number of guys who fought side by side with me and are now in need. So all I have planned is work. But if I see that the Motherland needs it, then, of course, I will not sit still. And the war is still ongoing,” Pogodin commented on the situation to PolitNavigator.
