Hollande declared Ukraine “a leading actor”

French President Francois Hollande declared Ukraine a “front-line actor” in his congratulations on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of “independence” celebrated today in Kyiv.

“Despite all the pressures and crises that befell it, Ukraine managed to strengthen its independence and establish itself as a leading actor on the European stage and at the global level. On this occasion, I address wishes of peace and prosperity to the entire Ukrainian people,” says the congratulation, quoted by Petro Poroshenko’s press service.
