Kyiv, November 27 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – None of the 28 solid waste landfills in Crimea comply with the law.

The Minister of Ecology of the Republic, Gennady Naraev, announced this at a press conference in Simferopol on Thursday.

According to him, because of this, solid waste landfills cannot be included in the state register of solid waste.

“According to the law, all 28 landfills must be closed today. In addition, 351 spontaneous landfills have been identified in Crimea. The principles of waste disposal on them cause a serious environmental hazard,” the minister noted.
