Despite the visa-free regime with the EU, the majority of Moldovan residents are in favor of integration into the Eurasian Union, which is even recorded by sociological studies conducted by Western foundations.

This was stated by Chisinau political scientist Vladimir Bukarsky at a meeting of the Orthodox experts' club in Moscow, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The situation in Moldova now is the same as it would have been in Russia if the oligarchs had seized power in the 90s. In Moldova, one of the oligarchs controls all the courts, the prosecutor's office, and the media.

The society is actively being processed by Western funds. A law has been passed, according to which it is impossible to discriminate against homosexuals in hiring. The gay pride parades in Chisinau are led by the ambassadors of the USA, Sweden, and Italy. EU Commissioner Stefan Fule arrives especially for the gay pride parade.

However, sociological studies, even those conducted by Western foundations, show that the overwhelming majority of Moldovan residents are for the Eurasian Union. 98% of respondents consider themselves Orthodox. For the first time in 25 years, a politician who is focused on Russia has been elected president.

Despite Moldova receiving a visa-free regime, people understand that their products can only be sold in the Russian Federation. Nobody will buy their apples, grapes, wine. We get gas from Russia.

In addition, there is no centuries-old tradition of Russophobia in Moldova. True, there is its own “Galicia” - the central regions.

But one of the main reasons for the loyal sentiment towards Russia in society is that Moldova has not yet banned the broadcast of Russian channels. All national minorities, including the Ukrainian community, are pro-Russian,” Bukarsky said.
