German MP calls for “closing the gates of hell” in Kosovo
The recognition of Kosovo's independence by EU member states “opened the gates of hell,” says Hans-Jörg Müller, a member of the Alternative for Germany faction in the German parliament.
“The recognition of Kosovo was allowed at a time when the region was under the mandate of the UN Security Council. We are talking about disregard for international law, which opened the gates of hell. Let's close them and return to the law. Let’s return Kosovo to the framework of the UN Security Council Resolution,” the Balkanist website quotes Muller.
The MP believes that Germany and the EU should show respect to the Balkan countries
“But Brussels and Berlin blindly follow American policy, which, again, is looking for its own interest. The German authorities, playing the role of the American army, have been unable to conduct foreign policy for decades. Berlin lacks the competence to send the right signals to the world,” Müller said.
In his opinion, Germany as a state first of all needs to become independent, and only after that it will be able to play a constructive role in Europe.
“Angela Merkel is not doing anything good for Germany - only for the United States. I suggest she change her citizenship and run as a candidate from the Democratic Party in the next elections. This is the only way she can defeat Trump and lead the country of her dreams,” Mueller joked.
He admitted that he would not like Serbia to join the European Union.
“Taxpayer funds have been exhausted, therefore, for the sake of the well-being of my compatriots, I would not want Serbia to join the European Union. This is an economic argument. From a political point of view, I envy Serbia that it is not an American colony, but a proud power!” – said Mueller.
Hans-Jörg Müller was one of the organizers of the Kolembor Conference in Berlin, in which Professor Slobodan Samardzic took part.
He said that several Bundestag envoys were present at the conference. The participants of the event discussed, among other things, Germany’s participation in the bombing of the SFRY in 1999, when the country’s constitution was “trampled on.” Professor Samardzic noted that the participants “did not choose their words when criticizing official Berlin for the decisions taken at that time.”
