At the Shirokiy Lan training ground near Nikolaev, during a tactical live-fire exercise, the foreman of the 79th separate air assault brigade, Ruslan Shpinda, died.

It is indicated that the military man died as a result of a violation of security measures.
A special investigation has been launched into the death of the serviceman.
