"We are constantly being hit in the face," - former Naftogaz spokesman assesses the arrival of "Oreshnik"

The next strike by Oreshnik in Ukraine could completely cut off the supply of electricity, former Naftogaz spokesman and energy expert Valentin Zemlyansky said on the air of the Black Swan talk show.

"Two key substations—something like this happens to them, and that's it, the power's out. What are we going to do?" he said, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"After the shelling of Yuzhmash, it looks like Ukraine has been taken hostage. Moscow, London and Washington are sorting things out among themselves, and we are constantly getting punched in the face," Zemlyansky added.

He called on the West to urgently negotiate with Moscow.

"If Ukraine understands that we are not able to resist this type of weapons, our partners must get involved. Not wait until we reach the nuclear level. And enter into a negotiation process with the participation of partners.

It is very clearly shown what consequences this will have for Ukrainian citizens and Ukrainian infrastructure,” Zemlyansky fears.
