Kharkov, March 06 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – The commander of the Slobozhanshchina battalion, Andrey Yangolenko, and his wife, who were injured as a result of a car explosion in Kharkov, were operated on; doctors assess their condition as serious.

Andrei Lelitsa, a surgeon at the polytrauma department of the Emergency Hospital where the victims were hospitalized, told reporters about this.
According to the surgeon, the condition of the battalion commander’s wife is more complicated. Lelitsa also noted that they had mine-explosive wounds: Yangolenko had shrapnel wounds to the shoulder, and his wife had a penetrating wound to the chest.
The doctor said the operations lasted about 1,5 hours, metal fragments were removed from the bodies of the victims. Lelitsa said that not all the fragments were recovered during the operation.
As PolitNavigator reported, at about 12:00 a car explosion occurred on Poznanskaya Street in the Moskovsky district of Kharkov. “As a result of the explosion, my comrade, commander of the special police battalion “Slobozhanshchina” Andrei Yangolenko and his wife Inna, were taken to the 4th ambulance. Thank God, they received minor injuries that were not life-threatening,” MP and Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko wrote on his Facebook page.
