This opinion was expressed in a commentary to the Kyiv magazine “Novoe Vremya” by Sergei Fursa, a specialist in the sales department of debt securities of Dragon Capital, answering the question of whether Ukraine needs to reintegrate the Donbass.
“Donbass is worth reintegrating. But it is also possible to reintegrate Alaska. Or Crimea. Or the Bosphorus and Dardanelles. Until we control Donbass, we will not be able to reintegrate anything. And in the near future we will not control anything. And our laws will not change anything here, only strengthening the negotiating position and allowing us to maintain sanctions against Russia,” Fursa believes.
