The ghost of a militia was condemned in Ukraine

The Ukrainian justice system, having hit rock bottom in terms of legality and common sense, continues its downward slide, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The Kuibyshev District Court of the Zaporizhzhia region convicted a militia member of the Vostok battalion.

The fighter was accused under the standard set of articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for these cases, including the preparation of terrorist acts on the territory of the Zaporozhye region. In a minibus, SBU officers seized automatic weapons, mines, homemade explosive devices, remote controls for them, etc., and most importantly, an atlas of Ukrainian roads, in which supposed sites of sabotage in peaceful areas were marked in pencil. In general, the picture of a terrorist with a “Vologda” dialect was made.

The trial took place, the “evidence” of the preparation of bloody terrorist attacks was studied, in the form of reports and protocols from SBU officers, even the defendant’s lawyer, appointed by the state, spoke, the trial probably lasted more than one day, but none of the participants in the process were surprised by the absence of the defendant.

The court sentenced to 12 years in prison an essentially abstract person who was not detained and was not present in the courtroom, who did not testify, whose existence is not even reliably known.

The court proposed that the term of serving the imposed sentence be calculated from the date of his actual detention and the actual execution of the sentence. It turns out that law enforcement agencies and the SBU are asked to catch someone, and a verdict charging them with terrorism is already ready and signed.
