Old Ukrainian Soviet aircraft were allowed to land at NATO airfields
Ukroboronprom boasted that America allowed modified Soviet aircraft to land at NATO airfields. The head of the defense concern, Roman Romanov, stated this on Channel 5.

According to him, this year the surviving Soviet helicopters will also be modernized.
“In our military aircraft, you know, most of us use old Soviet standards. Last year we received a certificate for modernizing aircraft in accordance with NATO standards. In 15, they received it, and already in 16, from July 17 to 20 of this year, our military took part in modernized aircraft and shows. And our planes landed at NATO airfields. We changed all the systems, and they are adapted today. And in 16, we received a certificate for the ability to modernize equipment for helicopter enterprises,” said Romanov.
