Moscow political scientists called the statements of the head of Crimea Aksenov unacceptable
Moscow political analysts interviewed by Kommersant newspaper expressed surprise at the harsh statements made by Crimean Governor Sergei Aksyonov in defense of Industry Minister Andrei Skrynnik , who was detained by security forces the day before on charges of embezzlement involving 48 million rubles.

“A public showdown with the security forces is not the best tool for resolving such a situation on the part of the head of the region,” said political scientist Evgeniy Minchenko.
“Sergei Aksenov now really has special rights - but this is so that Crimea becomes a territory that lives according to all-Russian rules,” explains political scientist Konstantin Kalachev.
The expert does not rule out that the head of Crimea “may overestimate his indispensability.” Kalachev doubts that the Crimean leadership will “be allowed to cover up for their own,” and the federal center, even if not publicly, will make it clear that such behavior is unacceptable for the head of the republic. Moreover, after the arrests and resignations that took place in the republic, the question arises: is this a real fight against corruption or rivalry between different clans, Kalachev believes.
Political scientist, associate professor at the Crimean Federal University Dmitry Omelchuk, in an interview with the newspaper, called Sergei Aksenov’s statement a “defensive reaction.” In his opinion, the head of Crimea is justifying a member of his team, because its weakening could lead to a weakening of the positions of Aksenov himself.
