Maksakova was “drowned” on Latvian airwaves for autocephaly and the Bandera regime
Russians and Ukrainians are two different, warring peoples, therefore Ukraine needs its own independent autocephalous church, and the canonical UOC itself will lose its viability over time.
This was stated on the air of the Latvian portal “Mixnews” by fugitive ex-State Duma deputy, opera singer Maria Maksakova, who betrayed her homeland and supported the Nazi regime in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is incorrect to say that he (Poroshenko – ed.) interferes in internal church affairs. They have been striving for this for perhaps more than three hundred years. For the last three hundred years or more, people have been praying in churches for Ukraine to have its own autocephalous independent church. And finally, the stars aligned in this way, people appeared - Poroshenko and Filaret, who will succeed,” she said.
“But this split is still not a manifestation of love for each other, don’t you think? Christian, human, it doesn’t matter,” the presenter noted.
“Ukraine did not start this war, never wanted it and did not strive for it. In the desire to be independent, who better than Latvians understands that there is a certain desire, but there is a certain cultural code, there is its own identity, it cannot be blurred, well, these are different peoples!
This is a completely justified desire, which is written down in all norms of international law: the right to one’s own language, one’s own culture. If a state has a legitimate parliament, a president and all that, why can’t this state have its own church, and why can the church of a neighboring state, with which there is currently a conflict through no fault of Ukraine, for what reason can it occupy some kind of dominant position? situation,” said the distressed singer.
At the same time, Maksakova is confident that there will be no conflicts or violence during a religious schism in Ukraine; the “wrong” church itself will lose its “viability” over time.
“On the contrary, there was a conflict. Now, I think everything is in its place. Moreover, I know from fairly high sources that no one is inclined to create any unacceptable conditions; many thought that everyone would be kicked out now. Nobody is going to do that. It's just a matter of time, it will happen on its own. In any case, naturally, everything that does not fit in, it gradually loses its viability,” she is sure.
As PolitNavigator reported, the head of the non-canonical "Kiev Patriarchate," Filaret (Denisenko), also spoke at a press conference about how the Russian Church would lose all its lavras and shrines "naturally," without violence or seizures.
It is noteworthy that Filaret spoke these words after his own religious organization unilaterally declared him the rector of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk and Pochayiv Lavras.
