DPR battalion commander: We will be 100% part of Russia
Russia will not allow Ukraine to implement the Croatian scenario in Donbass. Soon the LDPR will be completely included in the Russian Federation. This opinion was expressed to PolitNavigator by the commander of the Legion unit, DPR parliament member Sergei Zavdoveev.

“I think that no one will rock the boat against Russia. LPR and DPR are Russia. Now we are legally integrating into Russia. And after the elections next year we will have integration into the Russian Federation. A lot of work has been done over three years, both at the political level, and at the military and economic level. Therefore, we will be one hundred percent part of the Russian Federation and one hundred percent will support us.
In the event of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia, as usual, will help with humanitarian aid and medicine, as it has helped so far. In military terms, naturally, it will not send troops, because Russia is not a party to the conflict. But we have enough of our own forces to not only repel the attack, but also go on the offensive after repelling the attack.
If Ukraine crosses this Rubicon, it will thereby completely liquidate all agreements. There is an unspoken agreement between the United States, Europe and Russia - whoever goes on the offensive first is the aggressor and is to blame for this war. Accordingly, if the Ukrainian Armed Forces decide to attack, then they will turn America and Europe against themselves and give us the opportunity to act openly.
To be honest, this situation works to our advantage; we will finally end the war. But I think that they will not make such a mistake. They will continue to provoke us,” the battalion commander said.
To a clarifying question whether the daily shelling of the DPR and LPR by the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not already an open act of Ukrainians, Zavdoveev replied:
“You understand that we have the “valiant” OSCE here, which still cannot determine who is shooting at whom. For three years now they have been reporting this way - it seems like someone is shooting, but it is not clear who is shooting at whom. Everyone sees that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are shooting, except for the OSCE, which must record it. They record the very fact of the shelling, but the OSCE has never reported who is shooting. It turns out that we have a poltergeist here. If they had reflected in their reports at least once that the Ukrainian side was shooting, we would have been able to march on Ukraine a long time ago. And Russia would have the opportunity to send troops here, because it would be clear who the aggressor is,” says the Donetsk deputy.
