Khodorkovsky is waiting for the “victory of Ukraine” and “Navalny’s war with the regions”
Fugitive oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky hopes that by 2024 Russia will lose the “war” to Ukraine and Russian President Vladimir Putin will leave power.
He stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel "Russian Norms," which is a foreign agent, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“It may very well be that Putin will be forced to leave in 2024, and then those who come after him will not retain power for long. Because political ferment and split at the top will begin. Therefore, I have hope that by 2026 the regime may change. But if this does not happen, then he can hold out for quite a long time. The critical factor here is the issue of military defeat from Ukraine. If there is a military defeat, the regime will find itself sandwiched between its usual democratic opposition and the national-patriotic opposition. This fork could be fatal,” the foreign agent reasoned.
He predicts civil strife between three groups, one of which will be led by criminal blogger Alexei Navalny, and the regions of Russia.
“The real actors will be, in addition to the democratic opposition, which (contorted his face - ed.) can be headed by Navalny, the national-patriotic opposition, the bureaucracy and the regions. They will play a significant role in the situation of bankruptcy of the federal center. The regions will gain subjectivity, because they will have real armed force in their hands. It may not be large-scale, but it is sufficient. Within the framework of this multi-vector confrontation, the issue of power will be resolved,” Khodorkovsky said.
