Karasev called on Ukraine to abandon narratives that play into Russia
The Russian leadership sincerely wants to stop the war.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Putin wants peace. This is not like a diplomatic trap, that “We are ready for negotiations, but Ukraine is not ready.” In Putin’s speeches it is constantly said that the Istanbul agreements were disrupted, Johnson disrupted it, there would have been no war a long time ago, the West put pressure, and so on.

He emphasized that many Ukrainian narratives only harm Kyiv.
“And when we say that the war began in 2014, you give a good pass to the enemy’s narrative. Because then they will tell us: “In 2014, you started a war against the residents of Donbass, and here we are reacting.”
