Famous Russian expert is banned from entering Moldova
The Moldovan authorities have banned the famous Russian military expert Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, from entering the country. Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told reporters about this today.

“Yesterday the news came that the Moldovan authorities, without explanation, blocked the entry into the country of the Russian journalist and editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, Mr. Korotchenko. We consider this as another confirmation of the ongoing practice of applying discriminatory measures by Chisinau against Russian media,” Zakharova said.
In her opinion, the current Moldovan authorities are becoming ardent supporters of discriminatory policies regarding the media. The diplomat expressed hope that this case will receive appropriate assessments from relevant international structures.
