Ishchenko explained Arestovich’s popularity in Ukraine
Ukrainian society, without much wrangling, follows the path of “independence” - without meaning or purpose, and such propagandists as the adviser to the head of Zelensky’s Office, Alexey Arestovich, help it maintain this direction.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko spoke about this on radio “Moscow Speaks,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At the initial level, Arestovich is a good psychologist. He understands the soul of any people. Why do people always love all sorts of illogical series? Now, if you take any series of 100-200 episodes, there is no logic there. The events there are mixed up, and the ending is about the same illogical, because the money ran out.
Why do people love all this? Because people live by the principle of swearing on the bus. Now, when a scandal begins on the bus, what does it start with? Someone stepped on someone's foot. But after 30 seconds it goes beyond its beginning, and people no longer understand why they are fighting among themselves, but we need to find more and more new arguments, and they go into completely different areas: economic, cultural, political, and it all ends with “why are you wearing glasses or wearing a hat, you think you’re so smart?” the expert explained.
“Here, Arestovich builds his relationship with the people in exactly the same way. And the people feel theirs. That's why he's not indignant. Because he feels his own. This is an absolutely normal format of communication. Yes, well, fools, a smart guy will now tell you what to do next. Yesterday I told one thing, but today we see that the Europeans did not come and did not build anything here. Well, that means we will live differently in our mud hut.
We never said that we would build Europe. We said that the Europeans would come and build everything. But they didn't come. Why didn't you come? And they are afraid of Putin. This means we have to live in a hut, let’s wait until someone wins and comes and builds a metallurgical plant from the hut. Or maybe a Viennese coffee shop. But something will definitely be built.
That's why we ask, why are people getting worse and worse? Why do they choose the same ones? Why don't they say: that's enough, okay. We tried our way to Europe for 30 years. Well, let's modernize this road and turn it in a different direction. They don't ask this question. It can’t even cross their minds,” the expert stated.
