According to the press center of the ATO headquarters, Freimut submitted an inspection in connection with the complaints.
The first place visited by the TV channel’s film crew was a field food point: a tent city where a full cycle of food preparation is carried out in the field. The head of the food service, Major Alexander Khvorost, introduced the TV star in detail to the nuances of military field cooking.
“Cooking begins with obtaining the necessary products from the warehouse. The layout precisely indicates the number of personnel for whom the meals will be prepared, as well as the standards for storing food, the officer said. “Further, the production cycle involves the same manipulations as in stationary conditions.”
According to the head of the food service, changes have recently been made to the relevant documents and food rations for ATO servicemen have increased significantly. Therefore, a serviceman is entitled to 125 grams of meat, cookies, condensed milk, more butter, cheeses and sugar than usual. There are no shortages of products. For those serving on the front line, food is sent regularly: once every ten days, according to the ATO headquarters.
In addition to the field kitchen, the presenter visited the location of the field camp, saw how they live, where soldiers and officers wash and bathe, and even inspected the field laundry. Based on camper trailers, which are equipped with autonomous power supplies, automatic washing machines, and dryers. It is planned that such mobile laundries will move from checkpoint to checkpoint, the personnel of which will have several days to wash clothes and linen. There will also be mobile bathhouses.
Let us note that in the comments on the Facebook page of the ATO headquarters press center this check was called a show.
As PolitNavigator reported, previously Ukrainian security forces on the front line have repeatedly complained that they survive only at the expense of volunteers: sometimes they do not even receive water centrally. You have to wash and wash practically in puddles.
