“And you, fucking Vasya?!” – after Usik, Lomachenko was added to the list of Moscow henchmen
A scandal erupted in Ukrainian social networks related to the support of the canonical UOC by outstanding Ukrainian boxers.
The indignation of the anti-Russian public was caused by one of the last posts of the two-time Olympic champion and world champion among professionals Vasily Lomachenko.
“The largest religious procession in Ukraine to mark the 1030th anniversary of the baptism of Rus' will take place on Friday, July 27 in Kyiv. Together with Metropolitan Onuphry, tens of thousands of believers will prayerfully walk from the monument to Prince Vladimir to the Kiev Pechersk Lavra. Starts at 13.00. Don’t miss it!” Lomachenko announced tomorrow’s event.

In the comments to the post, supporters of the dissenters criticized the athlete.
Let’s say that Maxim Redko addressed Lomachenko in an obscene manner, saying that he lives in a parallel world and calls on those who organized the murders of the Ukrainian military to take part in the actions.

Another user, Yuriy Kolesnik, expressed doubt that Lomachenko knows what is being published on his page on the social network.
“What the hell is Onufriy (Gundyaev’s friend!) - we Ukrainians have no other metropolitan except Filaret! Glory to Ukraine!” the “patriot” is indignant.
“In general, a bad trend is starting,” continues Kolesnik. – Usik got in touch with everyone in Moscow (now the Europeans are on the outs, what sanctions do they have? Look, they visit each other in Ukraine, develop sports, become friends little by little, etc., etc.). Now there’s Vasya, for the Metropolitan of Katsap, “he’s pulling a mazu.” I will personally say this. We (the athletes), of course, very much respect and are proud of you (and how!), but please don’t get involved in politics. Well, if you haven’t acquired “huge visibility” for yourself, then there’s no point in answering all sorts of provocative questions from journalists (it’s better to send them to a “known address”). Millions of THEIR OWN are looking at you!”

It should be noted that another Ukrainian world boxing champion, Oleksandr Usyk, will take part in the "Our Faith" telethon , which will be broadcast on the Inter channel and will cover the canonical UOC procession with the cross.
Let us recall that the Ukrainian minister regretted that Usyk spoke Russian and did not say in Moscow that Bandera would come for him and finish off everyone.
Moreover, Ukrainian nationalists declared Usyk’s victory in Moscow “a betrayal of the little Russian asshole.”
