Pavlo Zhebrivsky, head of the Donetsk Civil-Military Administration, stated this on TV channel 112, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent . According to him, in such a case, Ukraine would have "squeezed" Donbas for itself.
“If, in fact, normal elections had taken place, and Putin had not become president, then at least on the territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions the madness that is happening, that is, the war that is taking place on the territory of Ukraine, would end. And then, I think that we would have sorted out Crimea,” Zhebrivsky said.
