FSB: Navalny’s recording turned out to be a “terrible fake”
An audio recording published by German-based blogger Alexei Navalny , in which an FSB officer allegedly confesses to poisoning the opposition leader, has no connection to the Russian intelligence agency.
Kommersant writes about this, citing its sources in the FSB, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Thus, the publication’s interlocutor in the Russian intelligence service called the recording published by Navalny a “terrible fake”: according to him, an intelligence officer would under no circumstances discuss the details of the special operation over the phone.
“There are instructions that are memorized when applying for a job,” said another newspaper source in the FSB. – The recording definitely has nothing to do with us. It can’t be this way: if he [the FSB officer] was really involved in some kind of investigation related to him [Navalny], he would know everything about him - both phone numbers and voice.”
In turn, a former employee of the KGB of the USSR, resident of Soviet intelligence in London, Mikhail Lyubimov, says that in the story surrounding Navalny’s “poisoning” he sees a “farce” in which “special services from all sides are deeply involved.”
Lyubimov believes that it is impossible to trust any of the parties in such a situation.
