SVO is releasing pus. Russia will recover – Marochko
The military special operation is working to improve the health of Russian society as a whole , which has an economic impact – those who are ready to “think about home” remain in the country.
This opinion was expressed on air by retired LPR People's Militia Lieutenant Colonel and military expert Andrei Marochko on Crimea 24 , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"There is a completely different society now, and the people in power are no longer the same. Even in the military department, there are not the same people. A lot of high-ranking military officials with the rank of general have been arrested, and this also gives a positive result.
"Because, in reality, the SVO is addressing a colossal number of issues , including those related to Russia's internal affairs. The festering that has accumulated since the 90s has already been released, and now the process of recovery and healing of society is underway. Those who were completely brainwashed have either left the country or been arrested for illegal activities. Those who had doubts are increasingly realizing what's going on," he noted.
The expert explained that not long ago, it was very difficult to explain to Muscovites what was happening in Donbas. It was an abstraction for them. But now that the SVO has affected many and it has become clear that the propaganda isn't lying, or even understating the truth, many have changed their views. Even within the LPR, the situation has changed since the SVO began.
"When we had the change of power from Plotnitsky to Pasechnik, there were arrests, very serious corruption scandals, and much more. And then we focused our attention on development. The President announced that we had a 97% increase in treasury revenues, although in absolute terms it's somewhat less.
But if we speak in an exaggerated way, the Lugansk People's Republic now brings the same amount of money to the treasury as the Donetsk People's Republic. Although even in the Soviet years, the income of the Donetsk region was 3 times higher.
We are now launching enterprises, processing industries. We are trying to develop everywhere. And our roads were marked on the "direct line" - in 2 years, we have paved almost the entire Luhansk People's Republic," Marochko emphasized.
