Congratulations: FBI Officially Adds PolitNavigator to List of ‘Russian Malicious Actors’

It was belatedly discovered that, on the eve of the US presidential elections, the FBI there had issued an official warning that the Russians would try to influence the election campaign.

The US intelligence agency published a list of " Websites and accounts operated by Russian malicious actors ." Among them was PolitNavigator, as well as other popular resources such as RT, Ruptly.tv, Rybar, and others. In addition to Russian resources, the list also includes several websites that the US authorities believe are linked to Iran.

The list alleges that those named publish data harmful to US interests " to encourage unsuspecting information consumers to discuss, share, and amplify the spread of false or misleading narratives ."

The ultimate goal is to “ undermine the American public’s trust in democratic processes and institutions ,” the FBI claims.
