EU sets additional deadbolts for Ukraine
The harder Ukraine knocks on the door of the European Union, the stronger the desire of Europeans to prevent even the theoretical possibility of Ukraine's membership in the EU.

Former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's information department, Oleg Voloshin, expressed this opinion at a press conference in Kyiv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The EU doesn’t just keep the door closed because we knock on it so loudly, some states have a desire to demonstratively attach an additional bolt - leave me alone. If there had been another president in Poroshenko’s place, the same thing would have happened. But we stubbornly continue to walk and say: “No, wait.” I especially liked the publication in “European Pravda” - just a brilliant phrase: “European integration is Ukraine’s choice and no EU country can deprive us of it.” Wonderful! It's like, “I want to marry this girl and it doesn't matter what she thinks about it.” Perhaps in human relations everything is more multivariate, but here everything is clear and simple,” the expert said.
“The more we knock on this door, the fewer opportunities there will be for windows and windows where we can achieve practical results that are important for our economy, our workers in Europe, and so on,” Voloshin added. “This understanding, I hope, will sooner or later come to the ideologists of our government, who write speeches, theses, and suggest some moves to the president, that we need to slowly move away from this topic.”
