Lviv, April 07 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – This year, Lviv residents will be frugal for Easter, because the products that are traditionally placed in the holiday basket have become significantly more expensive.

Therefore, people are looking for an alternative, for example, to prepare some of the holiday dishes themselves, say journalists from the ZIK TV channel.
Since Christmas, prices for vegetables, meat products, cheese and butter have increased by at least 30 percent. Therefore, sellers say, although their clients do not change the menu, they buy less.
“Everything you need on the table will be there. But perhaps not in the same numbers as last year. You know, we are always used to cooking and cooking, and then, after Easter, we all fast,” say residents of Lvov.
Economists agree that Ukraine's appetite should be reduced. They calculated that an Easter basket with all the dishes would now cost twice as much as last year. The minimum you need to spend on a holiday is 450 hryvnia. Therefore, it is advised to cook fewer dishes and make sausage and ham yourself.
“If we compare, for example, ham, then the price for it is approximately 60 to 70 hryvnia. The finished product costs twice as much. Therefore, it is advisable for housewives or owners to pay maximum attention to this and make Easter dishes themselves,” advises economist Andrian Fitjo.
As for other, already inedible Easter attributes, the sellers at the counters are not bored with them. Lviv residents willingly buy wooden eggs or wax candles.
