First you need to make sure: the lungs have stopped filling the body with air. To do this, a mirror or piece of glass is applied to the person’s mouth. A sign indicating a failure of the respiratory system: there are no drops of moisture on a smooth surface

If the event occurred during working hours, relatives should call their local doctor. Alternatively, to a specialized specialist who monitored the course of a chronic disease and wrote out prescriptions for the patient. If the death occurred at night, dial the emergency telephone number for an ambulance.

Without changing your body position, you must invite a police officer to your home. While the medical worker and the local police officer are getting there, collect a set of documents for the deceased:

-compulsory medical insurance policy;

-passport;

-medical card (if the document is at home).

At the same time, prepare identification documents for family members living with the deceased.

What to expect from health workers and police?

On a special form, the doctor confirms that death occurred due to natural causes. A police officer examines the body and fills out a report. The document certifies: there are no signs of interference by unauthorized persons.

In the morning, you should pick up your outpatient card from the clinic. It will be given back if the relatives take with them documents confirming the death. Good advice: make sure that the post-mortem epicrisis is included in the outpatient card.

To prevent decomposition, it is better to send the body to the morgue. This is relevant in the hot summer and at the height of the heating season. It is recommended to give the documents received from the medical worker and the police to the morgue staff.

The clinic or morgue will issue a medical certificate of death. The stamped form must be submitted to the registry office. The civil registration authority will issue a certificate and the main document of death - a certificate on stamp paper.

There are cases when a health worker (or local police officer) will not certify the fact of death. In these circumstances, responsible employees call a special car to take the body to pathologists for examination.

Once all the documents have been collected, you can begin organizing the funeral.

To avoid wasting time navigating bureaucratic hurdles, it's recommended to sign a contract with an official city service. Ritual.rf has a proven track record.
