“Angels” – an action in memory of the fallen children of Donbass
On Friday in Donetsk, in the Shcherbakov Park, a large-scale “Angels” event took place in memory of the dead children of Donbass, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
About 5 thousand people took part in the commemorative event.
“Tonight we are holding an Angels event. The essence of this action is that people gather to honor the memory of the children of Donbass who died during this war, and launch air lanterns into the sky... More than 150 children have already died, and unfortunately, this figure is only increasing. Today, all of us - people from the Russian Federation, Greece, that part of Donbass that is under the temporary control of Ukraine, are gathering as families in order to honor the memory and launch into the sky the symbol of a child’s soul,” said the head of the public organization “Young Republic” Nikita Kiosev.
“The “Angels” action is dedicated to those children who died during the years of conflict in Donbass. This year, the Lugansk People's Republic, regions of the Russian Federation, as well as the countries where our representative offices operate: France, Italy, Finland, Greece also joined the action. It's important for us to remember. We can't forget. This is the pain that has gone through each of us,” said Denis Pushilin, Speaker of the DPR Parliament.
