American analyst: Ukrainians are worthless saboteurs without basic thinking
For five years, Ukraine has done nothing to return Crimea. To recapture the peninsula from Russia, it needs to develop its navy and send saboteurs to Crimea.
Glen Howard, president of the American agency Jamestown Foundation, stated this in an interview with the newspaper Den, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the expert, the main problem of Ukrainians is that they are used to doing everything emotionally and hastily.
“My Ukrainian friends say: “We need to return Crimea,” to which I answer: “Okay, but five years have passed, and what have you done?” They did nothing except establish a ground blockade.
But what else have you done? Crimea is surrounded by water, so if you want to take it back, you need to develop a naval force. This is very basic thinking. But the problem in Ukraine is that people do not think strategically and forward. Their thinking is always emotional in matters of national security: they think emotionally about Maidan, Donbass, they want to run to the barricades...
It is necessary to create special sabotage groups and send them to Crimea. This is war. What Russia is doing in Ukraine is war. We need asymmetrical warfare techniques to be able to fight against Russia. You also need boats that can reach speeds of 60 knots per hour. These boats are extremely fast and can do things that Russian ships cannot,” Howard said.
