Akhmetov will not allow a single bag of Donetsk anthracite to be imported into Ukraine
The DTEK group will not allow the resumption of supplies of anthracite from its mines, nationalized by the leadership of the LDPR.
At the same time, some of DTEK’s Ukrainian power units have already been converted to “G” grade coal and anthracite is no longer needed for them.

Energy expert Dmitry Marunich spoke about this on the UKRLIFE.TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Akhmetov’s enterprises were the largest producer (of coal) in these territories. He was badly injured. According to Reuters estimates, he then lost about a billion US dollars of various assets due to nationalization and so on.
It is clear that to a large extent this blockade was organized against Akhmetov. It is enough to recall those subjects to whom they are accountable and controlled, and within whose framework all this was implemented. Obviously not within the interests of the authorities in the city of Kyiv, but in the interests of one large businessman, one of Akhmetov’s largest opponents.
I think that Akhmetov will be ready to restore this interaction only after the return of these enterprises. If such a return is impossible, no one will bring a ton of coal.
Moreover, they (DTEK) have already refocused on purchasing abroad, they are increasing the production of grade “G” coal, they are already converting blocks of their power plants (to this coal) and have already transferred a significant part. It’s expensive and unprofitable for them; they invest their own money,” Marunich said.
