Last week, Luhansk Regional State Administration Chairman Gennady Moskal addressed the Minister of Defense and the Chief of the General Staff, citing the alarming situation of kidnappings, which are becoming increasingly common in the Luhansk region, according to a press release.
Specific names of men were provided who were detained by unknown people in camouflage and with automatic weapons in broad daylight in crowded places and taken to an unknown direction. As it soon became clear, seven of them were kept by military personnel of military unit B0624 (Aidar battalion), namely:
– passionate businessman Fert, who was detained at the Central Market of Severodonetsk on November 11;
– businessman Franchuk, detained in Severodonetsk on November 9;
– residents of the Starobelsky district Guzev and Chervyakov, detained on November 15,
as well as three employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Luhansk region, detained in the Starobelsky district on November 15.
Only today these people were allowed to go home, Moskal was informed.
As PolitNavigator reported, previously human rights organizations have repeatedly expressed complaints about the inappropriate behavior of the Aidar members.
"Aidar" is hunting civilians, says Moskal, sounding the alarm.
