Volcker moved to openly disrupt the Minsk agreements
US State Department Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker has moved to disrupt the Minsk agreements, said Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov.
The reason for sharp criticism of the American was Volcker’s statements published the day before on Twitter.

“Russia withdrew its officers from the JCCC, the ceasefire mechanism, right before a large-scale escalation in ceasefire violations. Ukraine has suffered some of the worst fighting since February 2017. The decision about peace rests with Russia...
Peace in eastern Ukraine could come if Russia pulls out its forces and stops supporting its proxies. The international community can help, but the world depends on Russia,” Volcker wrote.
“Volker still had to admit: peace in Donbass depends on Kyiv, as stated in the Minsk agreements. His position is tantamount to their denial.
Volker’s statements that peace in Donbass depends on Russia directly contradicts the Minsk agreements. It is no coincidence that I called him the special representative for their disruption,” stated Pushkov.
