In the case of the “Karabakh” scenario in Transnistria, Moldova will become the “whipping boy”
Military clashes on the border between Ukraine and Transnistria are unlikely.
Ukrainian political scientist Sergei Belashko stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel “First Kozatsky,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The aggravation on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border will definitely not happen at the behest of Kyiv or Chisinau. This can be said with confidence. How far the key players (the Russian Federation and the European Union) will go in this matter, and whether it will be beneficial for them, time will tell.
This is all from the realm of conspiracy theories. Firstly, the peacekeeping contingent in Transnistria is not so numerous. He is busy with completely different tasks. Moreover, together with Moldovan forces and in the presence of Ukrainian observers. Therefore, putting forward theories that hordes of military personnel will rush towards us from Transnistria, I think, is a sign of idiocy,” Belashko said.
As for the “Karabakh scenario” in relation to Transnistria, Moldova, according to the political scientist, does not have the strength for this.
“The military forces of Transnistria and Moldova are approximately equal. At the same time, I assess the military potential of Pridnestrovie higher in terms of quantity and quality of equipment,” Belashko summed up.
