Speaking in parliament, Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Goncharuk said that the resignation letter he had written was already with the president, after which he left, ignoring deputies demanding more specific explanations.
The prime minister made his statement during the hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I turned to the President of Ukraine, gave him my resignation letter, it was drawn up in accordance with the Constitution, addressed to the Verkhovna Rada, and the President has the right to submit it to parliament at any time. This is due to the fact that we are all one team. We all came to parliament, to the power to change Ukraine, thanks to Zelensky. We all respect him, and it is important for us to have XNUMX% trust within the team,” said Goncharuk.
He complained that recently a lot of information attacks and manipulations have been carried out against the government in order to sow discord within the team and create the impression that Zelensky is not respected.
"It is not true! Our strong position is that we are one team, and we want to remain that way. Therefore, the government continues to operate as normal until the president makes a decision about who can work in what position on the team. This is a political decision that we expect from the leader of our political force,” the prime minister added.
Honcharuk thanked the Servant of the People faction for the much that has been done to make Ukrainians live better.
“We are ready to do much more together, but for this we need to be united. I thank you and suggest you work in the same spirit. You are cool! You are the future of this country! Together we will do more! " – summed up Goncharuk.
After the prime minister’s speech, noise and indignation began in the hall; everyone except the “servants of the people” demanded more specific explanations. However, Speaker Dmitry Razumkov announced that the time for questions to the government had been exhausted, and what Goncharuk said was a political statement, after which cries of “Ganba!” began to be heard.
At the same time, the ministers applauded during these shouts.
Batkivshchyna deputy Sergei Vlasenko managed to take the floor to voice the general indignation of the “opposition.”
“Not only are they not allowed to ask a question to the Prime Minister, not only are there completely incomprehensible applause from the mono-faction in the hall for the person who said that our president has fog in his head and emptiness, did you applaud this now? Let's use the time to discuss this farce that this man, who is still the Prime Minister, has staged for us here. He came out and uttered incomprehensible slogans.
Where does he want to unite? In the void or in the fog? Or in the way they fool the president, not knowing how to explain to him why the dollar is artificially low and economic performance is falling. Let’s discuss this, let’s leave the questions on the website and save time, but we need to discuss what the Prime Minister has just done!” – the deputy was indignant.
At the same time, one of the Servant of the People deputies, Maxim Buzhansky, reports that Goncharuk did not submit an application to the Verkhovna Rada.
“From the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, Goncharuk lies that he submitted his resignation to the Verkhovna Rada. This is a lie, the speaker confirms that there is no statement. A transcript to help everyone,” writes Buzhansky on his Telegram channel.
